Yes, no, maybe so

I'm falling to pieces
in the ghost of you.
Of course I can't be fair
not when you look
like my dreams depleted
and I'm left with only
two arms.

sheer

microscope thin,
waft to the plate,
tell me you aren't the one,
tell me how to know,
how to go, how to flow,
tell me what you need to.

these girls

have stained my hands,
left holes in my sheets,
and I can't scrub them out,
can't mete out the pain,
can't shut it down.

these girls fall like dominoes, dominoes, dominoes

all about teh drummer right now -

penance

With all of the infighting
and infucking in this store,
it's a wonder anything gets done,
I could get by,
if I could politic,
or if I would flirt,
but this will not be my life.
(won't it?)

[i missed yesterday. damnit.]

Table for two

I sit across from you,
wondering what you're thinking,
maybe you're thinking about
fossils walking about, chatting
carelessly with Fozie bear,
maybe you don't care at all,
maybe you love the yip yip
martians, maybe you do,
maybe you don't, maybe you won't.

Maybe it's the tin pan knocking
against the porcelain plate,
and all of the angry children
clamoring for attention
from people too self absorbed
that keeps you from listening to me.

Give her up already baby

I have given up,
no fall down,
no final call,
just an open admittance
of a failure I can't bear
to carry through till the end.

Stood down

Sally,
you disappoint,
with your shaking ghost bed
and tentative distance between
our joints, you do not fulfill.
Sally,
you did not step up, Sally, you did not step up.

Platonic tonic

Manic, though I swear I won't be, because there is no other way. I am still stuck
writing you drivel
as my emotions swivel
like a gun turret.

One

Cold,
flowing over aching bones and sores
It's a matter of calm and conscious
not form and caution.
Lazy fingertips could act as firetips,
could meander, but do not.
Lazy, loved fingertips sit folded,
waiting for the right joints to pop up.
(I do not want them to be right in
knowing better.)
